What do you get when at the end of the last millennium, somewhere in Western New York, two childhood accordion players, oblivious to the current trends in popular music, now accomplished jazz musicians, come together? Paradigm Shift.

Guitarist Melvin Henderson, organist Gerry Youngman, and drummer Jared Schonig combine their diverse musical contrast, and original sensibility into an energetic and dynamic grooving trio.

Natural flair and years of music-making experience make these three distinct, dynamic and accomplished artists a jazz tour de force. The trio's primary objective is making music that's provocative, accessible and just darn fun.

The phenomenal follow-up to the Top Ten US Jazz Charts recording Shifting Times. Once again the trio is joined by fellow musicians Wycliffe Gordon on trombone, and Marcus Printup on trumpet, featuring guest appearances by Gray Mayfield on saxophone and flute, and vocalist Annie Sellick.

"Their lovely compositions can easily compare with some of today's jazz standards: You immediately like them when you hear them first. They entertain - but have depth, too." Jazz Podium
